Biography

Bradley Harris, a Richard Chesney and Darwin W. Daicoff scholar, is a 2020 graduate of the University of Kansas, receiving a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in history. As an undergraduate, he contributed stories to the University Daily Kansan centering around student finances and local issues. As a sixth-generation Kansan with most family working as public servants in the state, he naturally ventured into public service by working as an Administrative Technician for the City of Lawrence’s Municipal Services & Operations (MSO) department after graduating. His duties included creating financial reports, performing inventory audits, and providing director support. This experience inspired him to pursue a Master’s in Public Administration at the University of Kansas. He looks forward to pairing and building on his experiences in communications and administration to become an effective local government manager.
