Lachlan Woods

Lachlan Woods, an Ethan Allen and Buford M. Watson, Jr. scholar, graduated with high honors from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in international relations and history. As an Eagle Scout, Lachlan affirms a longstanding commitment to public service, but his career in local government began as an undergraduate. He completed internships with the East Lansing City Manager, the Lansing City Clerk’s Office, and the Lansing Mayor’s Office. These experiences provided opportunities to perform public policy research, administer elections, organize materials for city council meetings, and manage constituent relations. Finding the work exciting and rewarding, he elected to continue his education and career as a KU MPA City and County Management Fellow. A lifelong Michigander, Lachlan is excited to make the most of his time in Kansas and positively impact the community.
