Biography

Madison Wiseman, a John & Carol Nalbandian, Clara Schneider Perkins, and Paul A. Reaume scholar, is passionate about using her policy experience and heart for service to find creative solutions that improve communities and lives. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. She processed crucial COVID-19 data for state and county dashboards, and abstracted fatal drug overdose data for a CDC initiative to reduce fatal overdoses nationwide. Then as a legislative assistant in the House of Representatives, Madison tracked important policy, assisted constituents, and dove into the state budget process under the Ranking Minority budget committee member. She graduated from Truman State University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations, with a minor in women and gender studies. She served the campus community as President and Vice President of Scholarship of the Panhellenic council, an Executive member of Truman’s Greek Advisory Board, and served as an intern in the office of the Missouri House Minority Floor Leader. Madison is excited about looking west of Kansas in the next couple of years to work and serve.
