Biography —
Mary Kate serves as the Graduate Program Coordinator for the School of Public Affairs & Administration, which includes the PhD in Public Administration, Master of Public Administration (MPA), and Master of Urban Planning (MUP). She provides support to students and faculty regarding admissions, enrollment, petitions, degree progression, graduation, and University policies.
Mary Kate joined the COGA team in fall of 2025 after relocating from Colorado, where she worked on a large-scale ranch and nature preserve. Mary Kate previously worked as a high school teacher, cross country coach, and track and field coach in Washington state. She earned a Bachelor's of Science in Education in 2015 from the University of Kansas and a Master's in Education from the American College of Education in 2019. Mary Kate continues to pursue her passion for the outdoors, recreation, and education.
