Biography

Ming Wei is a Ph.D. student in the School of Public Affairs and Administration at the University of Kansas. Her research interests include network governance, collaborative policy design, and the role of social organizations in advancing sustainable and equitable community development. Her master’s thesis examined the role of community foundations in grassroots governance in China, inspiring her ongoing interest in stakeholder collaboration and participatory governance.

She brings a distinctive professional background to her doctoral studies, with prior experience leading research on social governance as Deputy Research Director at the China Society for Social Governance. She later worked in the financial sector at leading state-owned and publicly listed companies, managing institutional business operations. Her academic and professional experiences reflect a commitment to advancing inclusive and innovative approaches to governance.
