Biography —
Seth Jarvis, a Mary Morrill Litchfield and Burford M. Watson, Jr. scholar, graduated summa cum laude from Truman State University in December 2024 with a bachelor’s in political science and a minor in history. His interest in public service began when he was growing up in Burlington, Kansas. There he was an active member of Boy Scout Troop 139, and through achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, learned the immense importance of service to your community. While he was at Truman State, he held numerous leadership roles in the Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega and the Political Science Student Association.
In college, Seth worked for the Kansas Department of Commerce in the International Division and the Tourism Division. During his time working for the state, Seth was inspired by the incredible work public employees were doing to serve the people of their state. Seeing everyday people make an immense difference in the lives of the people of his state inspired Seth to pursue public service as a career.
