Seth Motes

Seth Motes graduated from Washburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration with minors in political science and history. He grew up in a small Kansas town where a sense of community was instilled from a young age and was inspired early on to serve people. While at Washburn, Seth discovered public administration and connected with the discipline quickly. During undergrad, Seth was on the track team and a vice chairperson for Washburn Student Government Association, which provided him with great leadership experience. He served as a lead for his senior capstone group project - a deep-dive zoning analysis for the City of Edwardsville, KS. Starting in his Junior year at Washburn, Seth accepted the opportunity to intern for the City of Edwardsville, where he continues to work across departments on a diverse slate of projects for the city. After Seth completes his MPA, he hopes to continue working to improve and serve small towns around the Midwest.
