Become a leader in urban planning

Use your skills to resolve housing, transportation, and infrastructure problems. Tackle emerging climate change and livability challenges. The Master of Urban Planning program at the University of Kansas will provide you with the needed skills and a diverse knowledge base to be a leader in both governmental and nonprofit organizations. Students are exposed to working with and learning from people with urban and rural perspectives. Our program focuses on the whole planner, so the planner looks out not only for the sustainability of communities, but for themselves. Classes are concentrated — two days a week — so students can fit internships into their schedules.
