Biography

Brady Fisher, an Ethan Allen, Mark Keane, and Alan E. Sims fund scholar, graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in political science. His interest in public service was influenced by his mother’s work in special education, and he followed this interest to an internship at the Iowa House of Representatives where he served as the Minority Leader’s Page. In Des Moines he learned how legislative government operates, managed constituent services like mailings and outreach, and developed a taste for public service. The experience inspired him to attain a degree in political science. While at UNI he continued to serve, assisting his fellow students with writing as a tutor at The Learning Center (TLC). Along with writing, he gave students study tips, and directed them to campus resources. He also formed working relationships with people studying numerous disciplines. These experiences proved to be very fulfilling and motivated Brady to commit to further service in the public sector. He hopes to start his career in the Midwest.
