Biography

Mary Bisbee, a Clara Schneider Perkins and Ethan Allen scholar, graduated with honors from the University of Kansas in May 2021 with a bachelor of arts in anthropology, a minor in public policy, and a certificate in service learning. As an undergraduate, Mary completed an internship at Family Promise of Lawrence where she served as a Case Management Intern. Here, she worked with families experiencing homelessness which sparked her interest in public service – specifically in housing policy. As an undergraduate, Mary has been involved in several organizations including Student Union Activities where she planned community events and managed the organization's budget. Mary also worked as a Resident Assistant in Student Housing and as a facilitator in campus programs such as TRIO and RYLA. Her senior year, Mary was the recipient of a University Award for her academic record and student leadership. Additionally, Mary is a 2021-2022 Self Memorial Scholar.
