Michael Gentry, a Mary M. Litchfield, Bob Lowry, and Clarence Ridley scholar, is a lifelong Kansan and graduated from the University of Kansas in December 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a minor in history. As an undergraduate, he worked as an Administration Intern at the City of North Kansas City during the summer of 2021. There, he assisted in organizing the 2022 budget, conducting research for various projects, and creating the Gaming Commission report for 2021. The work he did with North Kansas City inspired him to continue his work in the field of local government and pursue a Master of Public Administration at the University of Kansas. Michael looks forward to honing his skills in the program to better serve the communities he works with in the future. He plans on staying in the local area and continuing his career in both Kansas and Missouri.
