Biography

Risi Karim – a Richard Chesney and Bob and Linda Livingston Fellow – is a McNair Scholar graduate from Oklahoma State University.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and minors in law and legal studies and sociology.  She served as a student teaching assistant for the political science department, tutoring students who needed additional help with the course material.  In addition to her coursework, Risi interned as a street team leader and organizer for community outreach programs for the Oklahoma State Senate. Risi served as an attorney’s aide for Trinity Legal Clinic. She also served as a Supreme Court Justice for OSU’s Student Government Association, where she learned to preside over student conduct hearings with fairness and integrity. Her life aspiration is to be an advocate for underrepresented populations.
