Biography

Trevor Cook, Richard Chesney scholar, graduated magna cum laude from Colorado Mesa University in May of 2023 with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in political science and a certificate in emergency management. Growing up in a rural Kansas town of less than a thousand people, the lack of local government resources ignited his understanding of their importance and fueled his ambitions to pursue a career in public service.

Trevor’s easy-going and casual demeanor often leads to underestimates of his seriousness and intellect; however, his calm, collected, and sociable nature is well-suited for leadership and this career path. In his last semester of undergraduate education, he balanced 21 credit hours in both the fall and spring semesters while working 25-30 hours a week and completing extra research projects for one of his professors. Fluent in time management, Trevor takes his work personally and is extremely committed and passionate about whatever occupies his time.
