Biography

Hsi-Chuan Wang is an urban planner and a social science scholar. He studies housing and spatial inequality through different perspectives, scales, and themes to interpret how they may affect our broader pursuit of urban sustainability. His scholarly works appeared in various publications, including Journal of Urban Affairs, Cities, and International Journal of Urban and Regional Research. He was a professional urban planner at Kaohsiung Urban Development Bureau, the 2021-22 postdoctoral fellow in the Institute on Municipal Finance and Governance at the University of Toronto, and now a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Kansas, working on the National Science Foundation-funded project Adaptive and Resilient Infrastructures driven by Social Equity (ARISE) under the mentorship of Prof. Rachel Krause.
